There are many examples of Aboriginal rock art and carvings across the region. To learn about some of the important sites visit Aboriginal Rock Art in the Sydney Region, and scroll down to where it says South West in the centre column.
Campbelltown Council also has a page about Aboriginal history. The page talks about the Bull Cave which was a drawing made in the first years after white people arrived.
Both of the above sites have information about the Appin Massacre, which was a terrible attack on the Dharawal people. There is a longer description of the massacre here: Ora Minarkelo Nandiri (People who see Through times of Darkness).
